Follow-the-Sun Routing Model

This page contains a routing model for the selection of locations to deploy development sites for software engineering in a Follow-the-Sun configuration.

The routing model is developed by C.K. Visser BSc, Computer Science student at Faculty EEMCS of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, as a visualization of his MSc Research project. This project was supervised by Dr.ir. D.M. van Solingen, professor at the same faculty.

Results

The locations are ordered from west to east and sorted on score and total number of developers.
The resulting table contains the following:

a combination of locations, with the number of developers available in each location for the chosen language
a score, indicating the match with the requested overlap
the total number of developers, available in that combination for the chosen language
